Biografia

Antonello Manca, born in Oristano on 27 February 1967, is a violinist, choir and orchestra director, composer and teacher. He studied in Milan under the guidance of maestro Felice Cusano, graduating in 1992. On 2 June 2023 he was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He has won numerous international composition competitions, including those of Sarteano, Vienna and Warsaw. He studied traditional and experimental composition, specializing in baroque violin and performance practice. He has composed soundtracks for various directors, participating in important international festivals. He has recorded 12 CDs and collaborated with Rai, Mediaset and Sky. He is the founder and director of various orchestras and choirs, including the "Eleonora d'Arborea" choir. Since 2014 he has been the official composer of the "Geminiani" Orchestra in London. He teaches in Italian secondary schools and is the educational and artistic director of the Civic Music School .

His compositions range from epic to romantic style, through crime thriller and horror. He has worked with RAI, Mediaset and Sky, enriching the musical landscape with his versatility.
He studied with renowned composers such as Jason Allen, Tomas George, Antonio Genovino, Marco Galvan, Chester Sky, Steven Melin and Michele Josia. He specialized in traditional and experimental composition under the guidance of Giampiero Cartocci, Emilio Capalbo, Gianluigi Mattietti and Fabrizio Casti, and studied orchestration with Vittorio Zago.
Manca writes both instrumental and vocal music and is also a choir and orchestra conductor. His experience and training have allowed him to develop a rich and varied musical language, which is reflected in his numerous works and collaborations.
